as positive as all the charity drives are, and i think it's cathartic for ppl to throw themselves into stuff like this to help feel better, i don't see it actually influencing whether they bring him back or not
if i had money, i'd donate to the charities, but i'm not participating in any "Save Ianto" campaigns - actually, i feel it would further cheapen the death they gave him if they just magically bring him back (even though i want to see him on my screen again and forever!)
so, instead i'm throwing myself into constructive outlets - like the virtual series which, so far judging by all the ideas we've got going, is looking to be really awesome hopefully it will be well received by fandom, too
I kind of agree. Much as I want him back, I do feel like it would cheapen his death even further. Though part of me asks if I'd really give a shit about that if Ianto was around again. I am mourning that character hardcore.
And fandom has always trumped canon for me. I guess I just have to keep the perspective that. I mean, honestly, I started watching this show AFTER season 2 aired. The entirety of my time in this fandom has been when TW wasn't actually airing, with the exception of super recently. Though, in the same regard, it's like I never really got to enjoy canon.
Where are the virtual season convos going on? I told Tina I'd help with non-creative things and did the little intro document through gmail. I feel like a bum not having anything to contribute idea-wise. My brain just doesn't work that way. Same with the movie project...I really really want to help, but worry I'm just not useful without being creative.

same here, but then it would make CoE even more pointless, so i doubt they're ever going to do that

But would I watch? You betcha!

hell, i'll still probably watch it if they go with a 4th series now - just to check it out
but it will never be the same again
