My family is moving to another state and I need advice on transporting the fish. I have 5 male bettas, three goldfish, and a corycat. While I think most of them will do fine in stress-coated jars in a padded box that I'll be keeping with me, we have one big problem.
Baron has major swimbladder issues. He can get to the surface for air and food, but it take a lot of work on his part. We've been keeping him in a big container (it reminds me of a punch bowl) with a lot of surface area and an air pump. He's been doing okay, swimming around the bottom and propping himself against the side and such. The pump won't be available for usage in the car, obviously, and the trip will be four hours at least.
Any ideas or recommendations for anything dealing with moving these guys would be much appreciated.
