Worried.. lump on side.
Hey all. My Betta Ripples has a lump on his side near his fin and a bit behind his gills. Could this be some sort of internal parasite or bacterial infection? I'm planning on moving him into a hospital tank, adding aquarium salt, and giving him a dose of Maracyn 2. It looks a bit swollen and Ripples is looking a bit pale. He's not eating and he's very inactive. He's only hanging out at the bottom of the tank.
Do you think this will help? Someone told me it could be a tumor and that just made me feel sick. I hope it's not..
