Last Sunday, Krissy and I roused early and headed into Yokosuka to watch the mikoshi parade. Mikoshi are portable shinto shrines from larger shrines around the area. This past Saturday, I had the absolute pleasure of experiencing some Japanese fireworks and festival activities. Unlike the US, Japan does fireworks more than once in the summer.
