Wanted: One hole into which I can crawl until everything I'm supposed to do gets done on its own, or doesn't matter any more.
So. I don't even remember what I've said or haven't said. Here's what's happened, in absolutely no order.
- We got a new TV. Woo! Credit card rewards are fabulous things. Now we can see the screen, and the sound doesn't cut out at crucial times.
- Went shopping for some stuff for the cruise in a few weeks. Mostly stuff that can dress up or down, and all of it's really cute. Yay new clothes! Boo paying money.
- We realized Saturday that 1) I need a passport for our upcoming trip to Alaska, which finishes up in Canada. (Yeah, travel by car or boat doesn't need a passport, but we're flying back from Vancouver, and they're getting really anal about that now). We also realized that 2) we can't find my passport. Lovely. Did I mention we're leaving in two weeks? Ironically, the Passport Agency won't even talk to you until it's actually 14 days before your travel, not even to set an appointment. *sigh* So I've got everything together and I get to call in the morning and try to get in as soon as I can. Lucky thing the agency is in Aurora, and not like - another state. Still a huge hassle.
- Had a Pampered Chef show on Thursday night, should wrap it up tomorrow morning.
- Finished my residency submission, just barely in time. I like the story idea, but honestly I don't know how it's going to develop.
Still on the list of things coming up:
- Critiques for my group. Aiming to get this done tonight and tomorrow.
- Finish this week's laundry.
- Carol Berg's reading of Flesh and Spirit tomorrow night. Hoping to take a friend with me, but it'll be fun either way.
- DR coposts I've been supposed to work on for a while.
- Doctor's visits on Thursday.
- Pay bills and balance accounts.
I'm also running a Pampered Chef fund raiser show to benefit the American Cancer Society's breast cancer awareness and prevention programs. I didn't want to send everyone emails about it unless I already knew you're interested in PC stuff, but this is a really great cause and a fantastic opportunity to do some good.
My goal is to hit $1,000 in product sales for this one show - and 25% of that will go directly to the American Cancer Society. If you or anyone you know needs some kitchen tools, I'd love to help you out. Just leave me a comment and I'll send you an email with all the info.
In the meanwhile, you can browse the products online at my PC website
here. You can order securely online, just be sure to designate the "Help Whip Cancer" Fundraiser show, hosted by me.
The show's open through May 31, and for any SHUers who don't want to pay extra for direct shipping and don't need your products before residency, I'm sure we can work out a direct delivery arrangement.
I'd really love to make this show a success. If you have any questions about the products, just leave a comment. I'll be happy to make a recommendation or give an opinion of a product. We use PC stuff all the time in our kitchen.
Happy Shopping!
