This is me, "poissonn'ly in poisson"

* I am positively enthralled with Camilleri's Salvo Montalbano. Where can I find such a man?!?!?? I finished "The Shape of Water" and borrowed three more Inspector Montalbano books from the Grande Bibliotheque Nationale, two in English and one in French to see how the translation would differentiate. So far, I can say that the English one is easier to read, but that might just be the edition. Both editions don't really feel (you know that feeling you get when you read books and start to see pictures form in your mind? Yeah, that feeling) English or French---they feel like a mix of the two, coloured with seafood grilled in olive and garlic oil, Swedish hotwheels and lots of seashore. *insert seagull cawing here*

* Still haven't renewed my passport. It turns out that I need to re-apply for a new one altogether, since my last one was issued in...2000 and expired a long, long time ago. The frustrating thing is that I cannot find my old and very much expired passport, grrrr. Hopefully I'll go drop off all my docs on Tuesday and get a brand spankin' new Canadian passport mailed to me before August 1st (the day I leave for Paris). Shall go take a Paolo-forsaken ugly picture tomorrow or Monday.

* According to Rom, my Nicco is now repaired and as good as new. I'll bring it back home tomorrow and upload the pics I took from the Italy-France match.

* Speaking of Italy-France... Euros have got me all confused, worked up AND astounded. So Italy vs Spain next(srsly, what happened to France? This isn't the team that almost won the WC two years ago!) Without Rino. Without goddamm matchmaker Pirlo. Oi. *facepalms* And Russia beating Sweden...wow! I wish that Henrik would have at least scored for all his troubles, but sadly, it wasn't meant to be. And Germany! Congrats!!! I must admit that I am surprised that Portugal exited so...easily (for lack of a better word). Russia and Croatia are emerging as leaders and possible winners, and, ahem, *hands out earplugs* PAVLYUCHENKO!!!! He shall be the new heartthrob/cutie-pie of European footie. ^.^

[According to Russians, their Motherland is destined to win this year's tournament because they have so far won: the World Hockey Championships, the UEFA Cup *and* Eurovision. So erm...Russia in the final, anyone? It's not like the Netherlands or Spain haven't been known to implode during tournaments...]

* I think I'll have to give up my idea of getting a second job. I just don't really have time, with my semi-busy summer social schedule, lol. However, that being said, it'd be so nice to have some more moolah, ya know?

* WIFEY IS COMING IN LESS THAN A WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!
