Just came back from watching
Iron Man. Our seats sucked (think second row. Up front. Front front front.), but the movie was fun! I deeply enjoyed it and I believe that it's one of the better superheroes/Marvel cinematic adaptations that we've had in a while! *coughDaredevilcough*
Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man/Tony Stark. He's cool, he doesn't care, he's trying to change the world. Awww, RDJ! And I'll say, he's aging quite well. ;)
Jeff Bridges is happy way too much fun as a villain, lol. Gwyneth Paltrow normally annoys me, but she was excellently cast as Pepper Tots! (Great name for a superhero sidekick/love interest/character!).
The script was funny yet sharp enough, directing was fun and the soundtrack's rocking.
Here's the snappy trailer:

Pepper and Tony have real chemistry between them too. That always helps.

Going to the movies always reminds me of all the other movies I want to see. I went today for free with the gift certificates that my family received for Christmas, but I think that I'll stick to the $4.95 Tuesdays at Paramount (pardon me, Scotia Bank now) Famous Players!
I want to see...
* INDIANA JONES 4: THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL (May 22 2008)
There's a new trailer out (entitled appropriately enough, Trailer2) and this is the one that I saw today during the previews for Iron Man!

Harrison Ford. In that hat/suit combo. Makes me squee!
Oh hai Shia. Where is Poppa Sean Connery though? ("Junior!" "Don't. Call. Me. Junior!!!!" make sme squee!)
The whip makes me squee too! Ahem.
ZOMM FOUR DAYS. THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN!!! Whee~~!
* SEX AND THE CITY: THE MOVIE (May 30 2008)
Hee, what can I say? I love Sex and the City! I've seen most of the episodes but not all, and owning the whole series on DVD is definitively one of my goals in life! (Along with House, The Tudors, Gossip Girl, etc. Damn, I'll need a separate post for television series now!)
The clothes, the Manolos, the hair, the men, the girls and of course, New York City:

The movie is so girly. I love it! :D
* KUNG FU PANDA (June 6 2008)
Lol. I love pandas! I'll have to make a whole post explaining how much I love, facepalm and identify with those furry balls of laziness! Seriously, they just go around sleeping, eating bamboo and looking cute all day long, heeee.

* ASTÉRIX ET OBÉLIX AUX JEUX OLYMPIQUES (July 11 2008 in Canada)
Now, I've heard from a lot of people that this one isn't nearly as good as
Astérix&Obélix Mission Cléopatre (which, by the way, if you have not seen you are missing out on one of the funniest movie EVER), but I'm willing to give it a try.
After all, Gérard Depardieu is still there as Obélix, and although they've changed the actor for Astérix, THEY CAST ALAIN DELON AS AGED!CEASE. LOLOLOLOLZ!!!
Yep, it's all about Brutus now!
(The clips are all in French, I apologize for the lack of subtitles. Hopefully the ones who understand French will find this as funny as I do!)

And the names are pretty damn funny too. Amonbofis, Edifis, Caius Antivirus...lol.
* DARK KNIGHT (July 18 2008)
Batman = my favorite superhero. (Because Bruce Wayne is hawt, yo!)
The movie is dark and epic-like and just makes everyone go all a;sldkjf;alsjdf;alksjdfkl! I'm afraid that I'll get nightmares from Heath Leger's final performance as the joker. (Rest in peace, buddy.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgOi9sXSY6I I'm already scared shitless! (Yes, am easily terrified and scary images stay with me forever. Eeek!)
That's pretty much all the big movies that I really, really want to see this summer. There's a few that are already out that I want to check out as well(
Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Harold&Kumar 2: Escape from Guantanamo), plus more releases that sound promising (
Love Guru,
Vicky Cristina Barcelona).
Oh Paolo, have I ever mentioned that I want to go live in Barcelona? ♥
Okay, bed now. Big day ahead tomorrow!
(Milan? Whatever you do, I'll forgive you. Arrivederci Serginho and Cafu!)
