Just clear your thoughts of all negativity about the place. Go in there with an open-mind and not little reputations that the college might have. :)

Awww, I hope you can get through your Bio stuff. Just break it down into chunks and try to take breaks in between.

*hugs*

My only problem is that the exam is in less than 12 hours. Aaaah, the joys of last-minute cramming!

Study for about four-five hours, set aside time for sleep and there you go. Don't focus on the things you know. Study over what you don't know, the things you know just glance over them in the morning.

Another trick I learned is that if you read over something, read it for 20 minutes or so, take a break, come back to your reading or your notes, but before you go to the next section, glance over what you had just studied over so it is still fresh in your mind as you are entering more information. :)

Aaah, wish I could. I'll be lucky to cram in all the rest in 7 hours. (This should teach me to study last minute, BUT IT NEVER DOES!)

It's read once, write summary and re-read before exam time!!!

Thanks for the tips, I'll be sure to use them for my next exam!

Sounds like others gave good advice. Go to the inverview. Ace it. (It's good practice.) Then you can decide.

And if you turn them down, you can politely tell them about your concerns.

Shall follow said sound advice. *nods*
Politely, eeek. *thinks back to all the things that she've said* I shall try.
Thank you!

*grins* Funny thing about life is that there is a time to stand up and scream and a time when you gain more through reasoned politeness.

In this instance I am thinking that, "As a member of an ethnic minority, I am extremely concerned about your position on race and homsexuality and therefore cannot accept the position offered me." is going to accomplish more than, "Why the hell would I go to your damned school, you racist homophobes?!!!!"

*shrugs* Just a thought. Especially, if they have a mandate to achieve ethnic diversity... *evil cackle*

Lol. As a matter of fact, they DO have a mandate...a mandate that goes something like "We'll take X number of members from this minory, X number of people interested in this issue....and so on...".

I'll keep that in mind, thank you!

I missed your previous post (darn those time zones and needing to sleep and stuff!) - I think it makes sense just go in for the interview. Try to keep an open mind, but if you don't like it, you don't have to acccept, right?

Keep your chin up, you'll knock 'em dead. *hugs*

Exactly. It'll just be freakin' hard to turn them down if they DO accept me after the interview...my parents will, to say the least, murder me. And I can forget about Paris. *sigh*

Thanks, shall try!
