So.
As some of you know, I am going on exchange to Paris (!!!) in February in order to study there for a semester. Studying abroad, as one might expect, necessitates a student visa. Which I have applied for, by sending in all my documents to the French Consulate. One of the documents that they require? My passport.
Now, I had been planning for awhile to spend New Year's in New York crashing on
aeroport_art 's couch and partaking in crazy Brooklyn festivities. As a Canadian, crossing into the States require a passport. More precisely, MY passport. Which is currently at the French Consulate.
*MASSIVE HEADDESK OF FAIL*
ARG, UGH, ECK, DAMNNIT. I am so angry at my stupid self and sorry for the ever-hospitable Li... My NYC trip summer was one of my highlights of the year and I was so looking forward to going back! UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
(Oh yeah, speaking of the NYC trip this summer... the overly-introspective and maudlin year-in-review post is coming up soon, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, if you'll excuse me, I'll go bash my head against a wall some more.)
