I`M STILL ALIVE!!!
I apologize for being a terrible LJ friend lately. I'd like to say that I'll be more active sometime soon...but erm, that would be a lie. This semester is shaping up to be all work-study-stress-paperwork-more stress, so chances are I will not be around a lot. HOWEVER, I do lovelovelove getting comments from you guys, so drop me a few whenever or, even better, LJ-message me with all your latest happenings. ♥
So one last-minute personal statement (which I didn`t have time to ask anyone to read over --- typical, ugh!), lots of self-praising and ten reference letters later, the biggest scholarship application is done. Hopefully this means that I can artfully recycle most of the supporting documents and use them for the other ones that are coming up. The plan this week: study for midterms and start preparing for the scholarship applic due October 13th. (Also: eat well, not pull any all-nighters, do some form of physical exercise, hopefully work and make some money to pay tuition which is due very very soon.)
Speaking of applications, I've done quite a bit of thinking lately and I don't think that I'll be applying to the
Boalt program after all. (Sorry to disappoint,
andolinn and
aeroport_art!) The reason is quite simple: tuition is a whopping 50K a year and scholarship opportunities are very limited. I'd love to study at Berkeley...but I don't want to spend 10 years paying back student loans either. I'll be sticking with my top choices in places where it's possible get almost full funding, thankyouverymuch. That being said, I'm still dying to visit San Francisco and the Bay Area!
*sigh* So many decisions, so much planning and so much DAMN PAPERWORK this semester. Choosing a school and a program, deciding what I want to do with my life (okay, more like the next 5 years of my life), dealing with all the Paris-related stuff (visa, plane tickets, health care, insurance, etc.)...
...the worse part is, I think that I've overdone the chocolate and am now immune to its effects. ;_;
