Packing for NZ

Nov 19, 2008 09:42

So far I've got all the clothes sorted. We're only going for six days, so it's not much at all. Next up is toiletries. Then my extra pair of shoes. And I have to make sure I have an umbrella and sunscreen and all that sort of stuff. My big raincoat is packed already.

And then comes the important stuff, and I'm not entirely sure what to take. What should I bring to read? What should I bring to knit? Will two decks of cards suffice to amuse the three of us for six days?

If I can find another ball of yarn, I'll probably bring my green bag flap to keep knitting. It's in a tight, slow stitch, so it'll last a while. And I'll choose between my belt-tatting and starting a dragon as well. That should do, really.

I have one more book to go in The Malloreon, so that can come with. But that won't be enough! The Sherlocke Homes colelctions are a bit too bulky. I could bring the two Belgarath and Polgara books (same world as The Belgariad and The Malloreon). I've only read the former once and I'm not sure if I've ever read the latter. That's probably the best course, I guess.

I'll be gone until next Wednesday. I won't be contactable by phone, but should check my email a few times. See you all next week!
