Yup, the birthday is tomorrow,. . . . .
Wow, it has been an interesting year. Actually, it has been pretty great. I am not going to lie that after having such a great birthday last year, being by myself this year is a little strange, but not bad. Last year I had a wonderful day full of flowers and I got to teach, spent time with family, and then went off to spend an amazing weekend with friends, it was great. In fact, the entire year has been filled with friends and family, and it hs been wonderful. Yesterday I treated myself to a day at the beach, and I think I have decided where I would LOVE to end up. I went to atlantic Beach, NC, and it was great. While their were a few McMansions, it was generally a lot of smaller homes along the beach front, and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!! Also, had some great ice cream.

I have made a decision about a potentially rather major piece of artwork on my back. I am hoping to get a video together to apply to get it done by Kat from Miami ink (okay, I tried to put the link in, but for some reason it won't work, so I give up. You can see her work at the Miami Ink website. She is REALLY well known for her portrait work, and I would like her to do four portraits on my left shoulder, and in the middle of my back, having my fairy looking up at the four portraits. I have 3 of them picked out, I just have to find the fourth, which would be a decent picture of my granny. The fairy is from a card that my dad gave me when I got my job in hilton head. It is perfect, and the phrase on the card says "The stars exist that we might know how high our dreams can soar" hoping to have the lettering in there as well, also, since the fairy is wearing a head band, I will be putting the pink ribbon probably in her hair. While the card came from Dad, I think the phrase is exactly what both (or all) of my parents have told me, and my sisters, to live for. Oh, and the four portraits, each of my grandparents. I have perfect ones of Boppie, Grandma Gunther, and Grandpa Gunther (I even took that one) But I don't have one that I love of Granny. She tends to Scowl a lot, so I will find on. probably one from Rebecca's wedding
Oh, and I did mention that my sister minnie0672 rocks right? Well, if you didn't know that. . . . well she does. You see, for christmas she gave me some money to use towards getting a personal trainer. I have stashed that money aside so that I could get my trainer in the fall, it is a bit out of my price range right now. WEll, this week on my break I have spent quite a bit of time at the gym taking some awesome classes (YEAH!!! for water aerobics) these classes have been great, and I am really a person who enjoys taking classes. They offer a bit of variety, and also they can be a bit social, and we all know the wallflower that I am. So. . . . When I mentioned to minnie0672 that I could purchase a pass so that I could take unlimited classes, she said. . . "well why don't you use the money that I gave you" No joke, because I had put the money aside, I had totally forgotten about it, or I guess it was just in the brain for use for my trainer. . . WEll, anywho. . . . Now I have unlimited classes for the rest of the semester. I can't wait. I am totally psyched.
I also got my new knitting needles. I received my Denise PINK interchangable needles I have a set of interchangables that mom gave me before I went on tour, and they are nice, probably will still use them, but these are quite a step up from those. I LOVE them. Have already tried them out.
I totally splurged on some yarn for a gift for aunt Chris. I am making her the Clapotis from knitty If you know aunt chris, just read about it, and you will know it is SOOOO perfect for her. I am making it out of it is bamboo yarn, and feels like silk It is amazing. I have been wanting to make something for her for a long time, and I think this is perfect. Just a light shawl that she can use in the summer while walking along the river, or in church. It is loverly.
okay, I have rambled long enough. Okay, maybe even too long. but I have had such a relaxing week, even got quite a bit of work done, It has been great.
Tomorrow I treat myself to good coffee and an amazing piece of cake at my favorite coffee shop. (yes portiarocks74 I will have cake, I promise. It sill be great too.
