It turns out what I thought was "just a cold" turned out to be something more serious. My room mate and my friends have been yelling at me for the past 4 days to go and see a doctor, but I insisted that it was not a problem and it would pass. Well after coughing up a little bit of blood into the sink last night , I decided maybe seeing a doctor was such a bad idea. So, today, I wandered on down to the student health center to see a doctor.
Here what she said:
"Why didn't you come earlier?"
"I didn't think it was a problem."
".............um, well. Here's the thing. Your slight hearing loss is not from sinus pressure, but an infection in both your ears. One of which your going to have to have cleaned out. You have heavy nasal congestion which is causing the sore throat and you seem to have Bronchonitis."
"....................."
"It might be a good idea to have that ear wash set up on Wensday."
"...........oh."
In end I got prescribed 5 different meds and was told to drink lots of fluids. Yay! I'm a palgue god! If it's any plus though I can say "Don't make me cough at you" and it will be taken as a serious threat. However, this is just one thing in my bad turn of luck. I found last night that my power cable, if not the jack in the laptop, is busted which means I can't use my laptop until it's fixed which may take three days. I have a computer programing exam in three days and my notes are all electronic (to speak plainly, they're on my laptop). I also have a chem test on Friday which is going to be fun to study for given my state of disease.
This is not my week.
