There was someone downstairs that could help him, or so the small black ball he'd found was telling him. It was becoming easier for Vaan to understand what the ball was saying. At first it had been a bit weird, but things were pretty clear now. The ball could help him find the treasure in the house, but he had to make sure to get rid of most of the rest of the people in the house, or they'd steal the treasure from him. Even Balthier; he was a sky pirate too after all. But some people would help him, the ball said, help him find the treasure and get rid of the others.
Thumping down the stairs two at a time, the ball stowed safely in his belt pouch, Vaan came to a sliding halt at the bottom. He gave the other person in the hallway a curious look. Was this the person who was going to help him? He didn't look particularly helpful, then again River was a slip of a girl and she'd managed to survive Balthier's attacks.
