In fact a closer look at the elder Assassin revealed that he was actually quite impatient at the moment. Small tell-tale signs indicated that he was annoyed with the wait. He hid it well but he couldn't help but be anything except impatient at the moment.
He turned his back to the side they were climbing up and stood immobile as he waited for them to clamber over the side. No use in letting them immediately see his displeasure. Let them squirm.]
