I found this on Page 112 of the novelization of Beauty and the Beast, written by Barbara Hambly, based on the series premiere of the CBS series starring the incomparable Ron Perlman and Linda Hamilton.

Vincent's view of the Twin Towers, as he sits on a ledge of the Faber Mutual Trust building on Wall St., along about the 20th floor. Contemplating, of course, Catherine:

"To his left, almost within touching-distance of his hand, it seemed, the double shaft of the World Trade Center towered far above his already lofty seat, obsidian towers wreathed in electric flame.

Dante had spoken of a scene like this, he recalled; circling down through darkness to the fire-carpeted velvet of the floor of Hell upon a monster's back. Had it looked like this?

Or had it been less beautiful?"
