I would have posted this over the weekend, but I was delayed by the passing of Dan Seals. I just can't post something funny and something sad ... both on the same day.
Word has come up from my contacts in Hazzard County. Boss Hogg is planning to tear down the gazebo in Hazzard Square!
To put up a three-times-life-size statue of Bernie Madoff!!!!!
Apparently, Boss is quite impressed with Madoff's ability to run a scam for over twenty years, when he can't keep a scam alive for even a whole week anymore.
The Save Our Gazebo Society will meet at the Duke Farm at 6 pm. Please bring a dish to share. (Yeah, the acronym, we know. What we get for springing the idea on Cooter during March Madness.) Ideas will also be fielded as to how we will be handling Boss re: the economic stimulus package. Luke says he can hear the cash register going off in ol' Boss' head clear the other side of the county.
