Long story short, a guy running from the law in New Hampshire came to Vermont, cooked up a fake ID that passed muster enough that he was one week away from graduation to become A VERMONT PRISON GUARD!
Dude, if you're even going to THINK about something like that, get further away than the state next door! Go to, Pennsylvania or Ohio or something. Not the state RIGHT NEXT DOOR!
Of course, VT deserves equal blame, they suck at background checks. That's why my junior-high principal wasn't caught until he'd inflicted years of mental, emotional and psychological damage on unknown numbers of innocent kids. He's one of those "College Educated Professional Experts" who thinks he knows better what's best for a kid than their own parents do. He came out of Massachusetts like he was embarking on a religious mission into the wilderness to civilize the heathen savages. This particular heathen responded by being a savage as I knew how.
