I went to the mall today. Couples everywhere. Holding hands and such. It made this pain rise up from inside me, the same pain I always feel when a sight like that sneaks past my fragile defenses and overwhelms my heart. I see you've finally decided to voice what I have know for quite some time now. Just to give you fair warning, it always seems worse during holidays, especially during Valintines day. I find that it helps to think of something else besides relationships when I get that all too familiar knot in my throat, say my favorite book or in your case your favorite fandom.

If i may be so bold to say, being loved is one of your needs and (prepare yourself) that need can be filled by God. Think of the familiar passage "Love God with all your heart, ming and strength." Now mingle several of the known loves together-storge, philia and agape-and then apply it to the way you are to love God. I think you'll find that this sort of love differs greatly from the love that some teach others to use and is much more fullfilling. (; To quote certain someone "He goes beyond anything I could ever have on Earth". If that is so, then wouldn't that include love as well?
