More PC Stuff

 So if I do decide to get a new PC, what would be the best way to transfer existing data? A disk image?

I'm worried about my digital downloads mainly, my itunes, my sim games from ea.

Office and all my docs are no real issue.

It also brings up the question of what to do with me old machine.
