Tales from the "Baby"moon- a/k/a Vegas trip #8

Feb 10, 2008 20:30

Well, hubby and I are back safe and sound from our babymoon (as this will be the last trip for just us without a little bambino  tagging along for quite some time).  Had a good time in Las Vegas, and we only spent half of our gambling budget thanks to a some nice three card pokers hits (two straight flushes & a 3 of a kind- woohoo!), which is a good trip for us!  Too bad hubby was sick most of the trip with a sinus infection.  I'm crediting my prenatal vitamins and massive amounts of vitamin C for the good health that I've enjoyed so far- already well into the second trimester and not so much as a cold *knocks on wood*.  Met Steve Garvey, baseball hall of famer (National League MVP for 1974- hubby didn't have the heart to tell him that was the year he was born!).  He was a really nice guy.  He just happened to be at a sports store signing autographs in The Forum Shops at Caeser's Palace on the day we were wandering around in there.  As soon as I can get hubby to email me the pics from the digital camera off the laptop I'll attempt to get one up here.

Saw Monty Python's Spamalot at The Wynn- had front row seats!  It was hilarious.  John O'Hurley (J. Peterman from Seinfeld and more recently the winner of a season of Dancing with the Stars) played King Arthur- he and the rest of the cast were fantastic!

Sadly, I have to go back to work tomorrow, which is so hard after being on vacation!!  I'm sure my desk will not be a pretty sight in the morning (hence my "blah" mood and the "Ianto needs a hug" icon).  Oh well.

Favorite quote from the trip (heard from the lady sitting behind me on the 767 from Atlanta to Vegas): "This took too long- next time we need to take a jet!"  Yes, as opposed to the prop plane that the 767 is.  There's only FOUR jet engines on it, geez!
