Every time finals roll around, my mom reminds me of where I got my randomness from. This semester’s “finals survival kit” includes pens, pencils, post-its, various snacks, a Red Bull, and fortune cookies. On a box of SmartPop popcorn, she circled the “Smart”, drew an arrow pointing to it, and wrote “That’s you!” Of course, she also sent me a toy- a rubber ball attached to a string attached to a paddle. I talked to her for 20 minutes after I opened up the box today, and I played with the toy the entire time. I’ve come to the conclusion that I am not coordinated enough for this game. It’s fairly dangerous to have me hitting around a rubber ball attached to an elastic string- nothing in the vicinity is safe, including my head. Oh, and she also gave me a card that has an old lady pulled over in her car putting lipstick on in the mirror as a police officer gets out of his car, and the inside says “There’s nothing a little lipstick can’t fix!”

My mom is crazy… and I love it.
