I just created a placemark in Google Earth's community thinger for the Cafe.
Here's what I wrote;
"Originally built in 1912, this building off of Green Lake has seen many establishments inside of its walls, including a poodle shop, a law office and a smaller cafe whose name is lost to time. In 1954 a man bought the building and named it after his wife, Beth, and although it's changed hands several times in the last half century, it's still named after the same mysterious woman, whom some of the regulars regard as a saint. Today, the greasy spoon has changed little, and you can still get many of the same breakfasty treats as back in '54, but Beth's is best known now for its 12 egg omelettes and wild nightlife. For tourists seeking a little adventure, a stop at Beth's Cafe is a must."
So does anyone actually have any info on the cafe before 1954? All I know was learned from listening to Wayne (the general manager back then) on my breaks.
