SHINee's Jonghyung

Most people that know me know that I am completely obsessed by kpop. It started in 2013 when I watch a BigBang music video and then a SHINee music video and then an Exo video and so on. SHINee have a group that I have always know about since I got into kpop. To this day if anybody says something is shinny I have to fight an urge to start sing “Juliet”. I remember being in the kitchen in my old house and showing my mum and brother SHINee’s Lucifer and mum trying her best to seem interested. My favourite member is Key and he took part in show called “we got married”, Just I watched just because I loved him but then the show it’s self quickly became a favourite of mine too (I have wasted many hours on that show). Jonghyung was an amazing singer. I loved his solo songs more than actual SHINee songs. I used to think that Taemin was my favourite solo singer in the group because I love his song “Pretty Boy” and it’s message about gender stereotype. Then I found out that Jonghyung wrote that song for him. There are some small things that I would like to remember about Jonghyung:

1. When he started getting boxes of Listerine after memes started comparing his suits from his “Deja-boo” to different flavours of Listerine.

2. When back in 2015 Key started crying at a SHINee concert in Tokyo but then also started to cry.

3. He was an Kpop idol that openly supported LGBT+ community. Not that common in kpop nobody is openly against it but nobody talks about it. I liked that Jonghyung did.

4. How I thought it would be great to see him get married and have a family after seeing him on “hello baby” Where the SHINee member had to look after this cute little toddler.

5. His song “Oh, She’s” I have watched that video a million times.

Ofcourse never knew Jonghyung, one of his thousands of fan. It just shows that no matter how many people love you depression doesn’t care. Now it hurts that Jonghyung committed suicide and I just wish it never happened. So I wished I could have been there for him but I never knew him personally. If you’re having serious issue please message anyone. It helps to have some listen sometimes, it doesn’t solve the problem but it’s better than nothing.

If you are feeling depressed and can’t see anyway out please ask for help.
