Beth, this photo is so extraordinary I can't even begin to put it into words. I am so honored and grateful to have been able to work with you--when we decided to do this I literally could not stop thinking about it because I have so much respect and love for your immense talent. I've never felt more comfortable around a camera. That's another gift that you have. You know how to make someone feel gorgeous, simply by being gorgeous yourself. :)

And I'm going to be honest with you. The idea of self-critic... I have struggled with that in my work for eternity. It's painful, but at the same time (as someone else said) there is a bizarre comfort in knowing wholeheartedly what your purpose is, what you're supposed to be doing with yourself, even if it might not make you any money. Those are the thoughts and reminders that drag me out of my darkest places. I'm worth it. And so are you! You are so worth every bit of effort you put into making yourself a great artist. And I'm always there to tell you if you ever need a reminder.

PS- I'm in NY this weekend. Can we say hi? I miss you and Kayla. Also Cathy (the ladyfriend) will be there! This time with not a dead cellphone and no crazy parentals!
