In Which Beth Actually Fulfills a Meme
I'm actually going to try to answer the icon meme, having utterly failed last time around . . . over two years ago, augh!

Man, am I glad I encouraged you!! The world can never have too many MacGyver icons.
If you ever do an icon that's more or less the same as any of mine -- well, your work is going to be in your style, which is not mine, which is all part of that lovely thing about human individuality and infinite variations on artistical something or other and I need more coffee. Right?
Anyway, if you do, how about if I agree to cheerfully say "woohoo, that's great, here's my version so we can admire them both" and we can regard it as multiple reasons for glee?
If this happens and you think "Oh, that's right, I thought of that joke because Beth did it once and it made me laugh", then I must have done the joke well. I suppose, in a case like that, you could give me an "inspiration credit" or some such. And we can just enjoy the fact that we both really love the same show. *g* I would get pissy if you outright pinched something without acknowledgement, but you're not about to do that. You have too much integrity.
If a joke or quote or whatever is a solid response to an image or scene or line in a MacGyver episode -- a strong enough response that it is repeated by another person -- then it's clearly worthy of more than one treatment. You're not about to imitate my style (unless you did it deliberately, as a joke), and I wouldn't be able to even start to imitate yours, because you are sheer breathtaking awesomesauce, in case you didn't know.
Coffee. Need more coffee so I'll stop rambling.

And too right your work is iconic. You've no idea how many times coming across a LOL in my LJ feed has put a smile on my face just when I have really needed it. <3
