We're in Kansas. (In Wichita.)
We're in one piece.
No thanks to the psycho truck drivers of this flat and smelly state. Yikes. They're rather like werewolves -- they come out after sunset, in packs, apparently barking mad. I'm really not inclined to assume, when people behave in a manner that inconveniences or bothers me, that they're doing it on purpose; but in this case, I really had to conclude that the outrageous asshattery on the highway was deliberate and malicious. Oy.
Tomorrow we shall leave Kansas, hopefully in one piece (each). Next time, maybe we'll drive through Oklahoma after all. Or retreat from the road at sundown and barricade ourselves against truckers.
On the bright side, we successfully met up with Lothi at the end of the grueling road, and our very late dinner was cheerful indeed.
