Cam Alphabet Soup II: U is for Undefeated

So, yeah, I ended up writing two letters, and one writer had to drop out, so here I am again.  I actually think this is the better fic by far, even though it wasn't the letter I originally claimed.  Danged plot bunnies.

When earlier today I found a Cameron fic popping up in my f-list I kind of shivered... but then, I realized this was a different (and male) Cameron. I still know nothing about him, but in this fic he is really impressive, although not as much as Glenn Cunningham.
I am now left to consider Kansas, trying to imaging a landscape with sparse towns, no hills nor mountains, where you can see amazing rainbows. Where I come from, there are not so many.
I wonder if you have ever lived there (I never even saw the Wizard of Oz).

This "Cam" is Colonel Cameron Mitchell, of Stargate. He was introduced at the beginning of Season 9, and his backstory included a long and painful recuperation from an almost fatal crash (which happened in the course of Saving Everyone's Butts). After he recovered, he was promoted to the Stargate team (at which point Season 9 begins).

I've never lived in Kansas, but I have driven across it twice, once in each direction. Also, one of my best friends lives there. Most of the state is very flat, with lots of farmland. They can get very intense weather there -- blizzards, tornados, heat waves, ferocious rain.
