I am now left to consider Kansas, trying to imaging a landscape with sparse towns, no hills nor mountains, where you can see amazing rainbows. Where I come from, there are not so many.
I wonder if you have ever lived there (I never even saw the Wizard of Oz).

I've never lived in Kansas, but I have driven across it twice, once in each direction. Also, one of my best friends lives there. Most of the state is very flat, with lots of farmland. They can get very intense weather there -- blizzards, tornados, heat waves, ferocious rain.
