I wrote notes on the train coming home from NYC. Which is good, because I would forget some things!
The day started at 4:30 AM...yes, AM. Roger and I left my house at about 5:20 and went to Union Station! Taking the train is so unstressful! It was very easy, very quick and it was surprisingly relaxing! We got there about 20 minutes before our train left, expecting to go through a metal detector or something, but there was nothing! No security guys pulling you over and searching you either! IT WAS SO NICE.
NO HONKING. This was at 81st and the Natural History Museum
Interesting architecture
Anyway, we got to NYC at about 10 AM and then we got to figure out the subway! Which wasn't too hard, but thank god for the NYC Transit app on my phone! I was surprised that the staff we ran into were actually NICE. And you could understand them over the PA system! Such a difference from WMATA. The only thing that WMATA has on them is the fact that there isn't much trash. We arrived at the 81st St. station and walked across Central Park. Unfortunately, we took the unscenic route. :/ oops. We got to the Metropolitain Museum of Art and pretty much went directly to the Samurai Exhibit (after we paid for admission, of course).
The Museum
It was very interesting! A lot of blades and I was surprised at how shiny they were despite being hundreds of years old! We were hoping for more Samurai armor, but we did get lots of good ideas for our Mini Ninja costumes! After we went through the exhibit we explored the rest of the museum. Or rather, we had to because we couldn't find our way out! We did find the cafeteria and ate lunch there, because who knew when we were gonna find the exit outta there! LOL.
Spanish Architecture!
This statue has no arms :(
He looks just thrilled.
The Sculpture Court
Some devious lil' guy LOL
URRRRRRRRRRR
Interesting...
BUTT.
After the museum, we hopped back on the subway to go to the Sanrio store. Oh dear god, I'm glad that store is no where near where I live. I'd be so broke! I bought a couple of things and then we left. We decided to go to Kinokuniya and explored all 3 floors. I was sad to see cosplayers in there, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I picked up a few things (most notably, a Domo-kun Bento box :3) and I wish we ate at the cafe because the cake looked so good!! Roger bought a CD and then we left. I decided that I needed some caffiene so I got a can of Diet Coke from a street vendor and drank it in Bryant Park. I watched the Naruto cosplayers "fight" each other with foam swords there and shrugged. I took some pictures and then we decided to go to Mood, after walking through Times Square again :P

When we did finally find Mood, I was so overwhelmed by fabric that I didn't know what to get! Then 15 mins later they announced they were closing! D'oh! When we go up in May, we will have to go eariler in the day! I did see some things I wanted, but I can wait! At least I can say I've been to Mood and Bryant Park LOL.
After that, we had two hours or so to kill so we explored some and ended up at Borders by Penn Station. We sat there for a while and rested our tired feet and then we went across the street to Nathan's and had some hot dogs! They were gooood!
I have no idea what FUSE is but they had shiny lights!

After that, it was time to leave :(
