(no subject)
a high speed chase went past my apartment the other night. there were many sirens and much squealing of tires. and as one might suspect, it was a fairly brief encounter.
soooo i went on a date last night. i was meeting a guy (from okcupid) at marikkas, and i got there right at 830, but i didn't really know who i was looking for or what to expect. so i wandered in and looked around, and since i had suggested playing darts i peeked back at the dart boards. and there was a guy playing darts by himself, and i was sort of like "oh, that can't be him, he's attractive," and wandered back to the bar.
soooooo i went on a date last night, with an attractive guy! uh, yay! and it was quite enjoyable, he beat me at darts (although not by much...my "flail wildly and then somehow close everything out at once" strategy really works quite well), we had a few drinks, we talked. he seems intelligent, he can carry on a conversation, he's a big ole nerd. he even likes mystery science theater. unfortunately he had to leave around 1015, as his boss had managed to lock his keys in his office and was threatening to crawl through the ductwork after about an hour of attempting to pick the lock. but he apologized profusely, and kissed the top of my head, which was unexpected but cute, and told me he'd make it up to me. woo! i'm fairly pleased with the situation.
