i needed to comment but i'm not part of omona so i can't comment on the entry.
if you read it you'd know that dongwan is commenting on how this man Kim raped and killed a 13 yr old last month and was convicted of not only attempted rape of a 9 yr old but also he was convicted of rape in 1997, and assaulting a woman after being released in 2001.
there are such things as three strikes rule in america. wish they'd adopt it cuz that man would have never been allowed out after assaulting that woman and then the 13 yr old's family wouldn't be going thru this right now. korea seriously needs to get better laws protecting ppl from predators like these. i mean, in our justice system, i know is kinda crap sometimes, but still, if a man like this was to be convicted for attempting to rape a 9 yr old and then convicted of rape later on, even if he was released, prosecutors and judges can argue that this man is mental unfit to be put in normal society and placed in a mental institution. he'd at least be cut off from society. HE'D BE CUT OFF FROM LITTLE GIRLS!!!!!!!
and i really want to go with what carmendove says about how if fangirls and boys harness our powers together, we could actually help change this world for the better. i almost want us to unite and at least show that this lil girl's death was not in vain. that it openned the eyes of everyone about the dangers and how we can do to help and keep bad men like him off the streets. there has to be someway, isn't there? i'm not a lawyer yet and i have no idea about international law and most definitely about korean law, but there has to be something we can do, isn't there?
i want to post this on like various fandom sites to get things going but i don't know.
and i don't know why i want to add this but i saw this on a chinese news report today about in taiwan this girl [student i think] was making a copy at a convenient store and a guy came over and harassed and molested her. she went and got the police and the police, instead of arresting the man, told her to forget about it and act like it was just a really bad nightmare. she got his picture and found out who he is online and went to the police department and reported the man.
seriously ppl!!!! wake up and start arresting them when it starts small and keep them on watch!!! cuz we all know, it starts small and then expands to epic porportions!!! the kim guy just raped and assualted now he's murdering little girls!! both bad but at least his first victims aren't dead.
