Hollywood Bowl 20008
I tried numerous times to write down my hollywood bowl experience. the first time, i wrote it down on my journal. the second time i tried to write on livejournal but the internet connection was bad at the hotel and it deleted everything i wrote. i got pissed and haven't tried since then. now i'm trying again. here goes :D
it's been weeks so i don't remember exactly how everything went. but what the hey:
so my last final was on monday 12th
parents came to help me move out 13th and drove back to houston
had to drive back to austin th 14th. mom got me a cup of water for the ride back. accidentally dropped my old phone in there. sigh. i was about to cry cuz i love that phone. thankfully i brought along my new one and just changed the sim card, but aparently i put it in backwards and like had to go to a t-moblie store and they fixed it... sigh... never gonna live that down :D
stayed at jens. we all tried to go to sleep at 11 cuz our flight was at 7 and we had to wake up at 4. those who know my sleep schedule during finals knows that i usually go to bed at 2am. it was bad. me and jen stayed awake the whole night and listened to katy sleep soundly and munching...
4am camed. sigh. so tired. slept on the plane. slept terribly on the plane.
learned one really important thing that day. KATY SUCKS WITH DIRECTIONS!!!
how we learned? we learned the hard way. sigh.
ok so we went to get our luggage rite, and well i was out of it. katy walks really fast and jenn and i would just follow her. she took us to carousel 4 right. turns out our luggage was supposed to come out of carousel 3. sigh. and a lot of ppl from our flight had followed us and was waiting with us at carousel 4... sigh... sigh. :D
so we got our luggage right? now we need to get to hertz to get our rental. sigh.
again, katy likes to walk fast, so i was like, no the shuttle is over here. so we walk over and katy jumps up on the first shuttle that arrives. it's an avis shuttle. it's got a giant avis sign on it. and i'm like are we suppose to take this? we're hertz. then katy's like it all goes to the same place. so i'm like fine okay. it really did just take us to avis. so we had to circle back and wait for the hertz one. sigh. it's cool.
got the rental. guy asked me if i wanted to a convertible. i was like no. would be fun, but a decent car was good enough for me.
thank goodness for my gps. found wilshire and our hotel pretty easily. sigh.
we had arrived in la at 9. we were ready to check in at 10:20. sigh...
the hotel does not allow check in until 3pm. wtffffffffffffffffffff!!!!!
so hungry then. 10 their time, 12 texas time
so went to ginza sushi right next door, opens at 11. so korean bbq place next door. thankfully it opens at 10:30. right on time. there was a huge group that arrived and we sat in the far end. felt so out of place. food was good. very good. clothes barely smelled.
we finished eating at 12. we still had 3 hours left. sigh. so i drove around. found out about a lot. sigh
first of all, i hate la traffic lights. they have almost no left turn lights. i had to be a bitch and wait in the middle of the road to turn. there were some really nice drivers and me and katy would keep thanking them. to the mean ones, i'd start a crazy rant that katy insists that we should have video taped. would be immensly funny, but i'd be afraid of getting killed.
so finally 3 came around and we checked in. shower!!! showa!!!!! so nice.
rest. 6 came and we figured we should go out to eat. 8pm houston time. hungry. figured we go to cafe beaujolais to eat b/c we read such weird reviews on it. gave gps to katy to navigate. big mistake.!!!
got lost 7/8 times. she was like, "turn left! TURN LEFT!" while pointing right. i was like "I AM TURNING LEFT!"
passed the place 3 times before we finally saw that tiny sign. sigh. but the waiters really did have awesome french accents and the food was so good. love my filet mignon and katy loves her lamb.
drove back. needed to go to cvs. had to turn back. there was a bbq place w/ a lot of ppl in it. couldn't see but katy said that there was cute guy waiting outside. sigh. aw :D
next day:
woke up early walked to starbucks. got hit on twice by two really creepy guys and was sweltering. not walking anymore. drive. drive.
went to korea galleria and korea plaza. got a purse at plaza to validate my parking thing. sigh. the guy in the store when we went in was talking to one of his employees about hb.
"yeah, a lot of non-koreans really love dbsk." was about to burst out laughing. he figured we were tourists there for hb and felt bad but we were cool and he validated my parking so i was happy. they have a huge music store tehre and got dongwan oppa's cd. yay no yesasia.
saw a bunch of ppl there who i would later see at hb the next day.
drove to hb just to be sure i can find the way and not get lost.
food. got jap noodles. there's a soju town across the street from our hotel and i kinda wanted to go.
um... dinner. where to? i said i wanted to go to the beach so we went to santa monica. sun was setting but it was kool. we watch the sun set by the beach. pwetty. the sand was so cool and the water cold but nice. the pier was okay. played a game. needed 3 ppl and so we sat down. then more ppl sat down and there was a couple sitting next to katy. the girl wanted the guy to win her a prize. i won and she got pissed. sigh, let it go.
didn't eat but did have lots of fun :D
hb day:
oh so happy
saw this dumpling place the first day and had no idea where to go to eat. so i drove around and found it again. tried to turn in but someone was being a dumbarse and it took forever. also, la has tiny parking spaces. tiny. tiny.
moving on. went in and ate at the other place instead. jen and i wanted the jiajangmein [black bean noodles] but they didnt' have any. had kimchi fried rice instead. was good. i liked it. katy finally got her omurice. sigh. lunch queen. good show.
got a cooler and drinks and went to hb.
sigh. show starts at 6. we went at 1:30 to get good parking spots. carried the heavy cooler. sigh. got free stuff. love my "got soju" shirt :D
waited under the sun until they let us in at 6. was about to faint. two ppl already did. downed two bottles of water. sweating like crazy
finally let us in. seriously pissed off. but all went well
got in our seat. our neighbors were nice. all dressed in red. dbsk colors.
then these old ppl who got pool seats wanted to switch with us so we were like hells yea. got pool seats :D
funny thing. in our side only one guy. aparently other side had three guys and they were getting phone numbers. our guy was married. funny story lata
got great seats. love them. pool seats all the way from now on.
so brian came on. yay. looked good. loved what he was wearing.
suju t came on. love them. love teuki's hair. love kangin even tho i swear he glared at me or at least in my direction for like a second. freaked me out so i ended up filming yesung mostly. but accidentally deleted that film. so very sorry. yesung was awesome :D love hyuk jae and his red rimmed glasses :D love shindong and his knee high sox. he was the only one whearing shorts. sigh. heechul freaked me and katy out. he was so pissed that day. and kinda lame i gotta say. and i so don't believe he ever went to class if he's really an english translator major. seriously.
next was chae yeon. of all the girls, she's one of my fave. she and hyori and boa are really good. she was like, aw suju had more cheers. she she did her song and dance. the backup dancers were hot. love this one guy. post pics later. so she started her rump shaking and like our married guy was watching her dance right. when she started her rump shaking, he turned away. i was standing right behind him and i was like "aw that's so sweet"
i'm not sure the order but like some old ppl were there and they were ok. took this time to settle down and rest and check my pics. bad idea but had to delete the riff raff. took a pic of snsd just for the heck of it. don't like them. they suck live, like a lot of them, i could barely hear them sing. so we were like "eh at least they're not the wonder girls. they suck more" moving on.
there was this really old rocking old guy. loved him. he was wearing these high platform shoes. took a pic of that. had to of course. he was awesome. snsd came out in one song to sing with him, he kinda got pissed with them and like asked the audience to sing with him instead. he was cool :D [hehehhe] moving on. glad that i was able to see him preform b/c they say it's his last performance ever.
oh, h.o.t. guy, moon hee jun, brittany would love him. he was awesome. loved his songs. loved him. sigh but had to delete a lot of his pics to save room for others sorry.
sg wannabe was awesome. love hat boy. love him. katy called dibs on glasses guy.
ftts [hehehe katy messed up on her shirt initially and wrote fttf] they were awesome. brian being himself. hwanhee looked good. hwanhee was shy and brian was like, "do you know who he is?" and we all cheered.
god guy son ho young, love him too. he got everyone jumping and it was just so hyper and fun. love him. like the other guys would come out on the extended stage and we tried to shake hands with him. but they go passed us so finally we got pissed and just grabbed his hand and whatnot. it was lame...

oh so hot. so very hot love him so sad when my film ran out of room. so sad. love him. sigh.

when they came out and sang we all went crazy. at first i wasn't going to stand on the seats, but like everyone else in front of me was and i couldnt see so i got pissed so i just climed the chairs and got to the front and stood there. Katy passed her camera to me and i filmed and cheered and just had fun. when they introduced themselves... um this is not for the under 18 to read
When they introduced themselves, i really wanted to like get micky, hero and yunho and like tear off all their shirts and turn to changmin and tell him to turn around b/c he's too young. he looked so young even tho he's older than katy. sigh. yunho was wearing way to many layers. it's summer in la. it's hot. wear less man wear less. much less :D
so there, those are my thoughts about them sigh. like i wished i had on a tank under my shirt b/c i wanted to throw my shirt at the stage for them :D but then katy reminded me that i still had my soju shirt but it was after the concert was over.
oh cannot forget, like, when they started singing purple line... sigh... and micky sang his part... sigh... like every single girl like screamed unitl their voices were hoarse :D me being one of them XD
wish it was like last year where they threw stuff at teh audience. like from our side at teh end, sonhoyoung and minwoo were on our side. son ho young took his name sign from one of the girls and told minwoo to take his. minwoo was chewing gum while singing. he looked slightly amused or something. brian and chaeyeon started dancing... dancing... and like the snsd girls were like, no, must save her virginity. if you read some of the rumors, i don't think it's chaeyeon's virginity you have to worry about. sigh. anyways, wanted to shake yesung's hand but shook teukie's hand instead. love his hair. hehehe love them all :D wish kangin was on our side :( anyways, so got to car but like we were blocked in and couldn't get out since the person in front of us wasn't there yet they like waited for teh stars to leave or something. it was 11 and we were tired so we just waited in the car with our heavy cooler that one of the girls broke. drank wata and cheered. blasted the radio with the windows down. sigh. can't stand leona lewis now because they have been playing her song over and over again and each time katy must listen to it. so i can't stand that song anymore.
drove back, shower, tried to go online, sleep at 4am. so tired.
woke up next day at like 12. had planned to go church with katy and jen and then the beach before going to meet god-bro-in-law but like we were too tired. still wanted to go to the beach. katy wanted to go back to santa monica to go on the carousel. she had never been on one. omg so we went and got on the carousel and window shopped instead. got some souvenior shorts for mom.
met up with dan for dinner. got scolded for that. so w/e. seriously, don't care about him. i don't really care much for my god-in-laws. don't really care for my god-sibs in the first place. but that's another thing and lets move on.
so dan drives like crazy and we were like freaking so w/e and after dinner we went to a korean sauna. been trying to find one all day. the one we saw was for men only. and the other one was closed. so asked the front desk and she told us about a 24hr one. it was cool. we went. it was in this huge building and there was a karaoke place too. like so we went thinking it's like the one in the dramas and suju fullhouse. not it's the seperate rooms one where the girls were unashamed of their birthday suits. i was like, don't look. don't look. we three were a little shy and confused. comfy tho. watched happyshares with ss501 kyujong. he was so cute. love ss 501 :D
went back shower and sleep. watched deathnote and inuyasaha. sleep.
checkout
breakfast? lunch? tofu house. was good :D
went back to korea plaza to get some cds. sold out on ftts and son ho young. bought moon hee jun, suju, and sg wannabe. i'll get son ho young some other day.
checked in at the airport early. got dad a terminator shirt b/c knew he'd get a kick out of it. bought three books that i started to read but stopped after the first one. one was like glow in teh dark and freaked me out when i got home b/c i didn't know and i was like what in the world is glowing in my room? plutonium? btw i didn't have my glasses on.
so got to austin. jen's bro picked us up and like we shared pics and went online and read. found out that dbsk and suju arrived same day. so sad that we didn't get to see them. and found out then that they were staying at the sheraton on hope st. the other fan girls were stalking them. should have done that. :D
so went to katy's and got her pics and my posters and drove home. so long. three hours and got stuck in rush hour traffic. but i still like houston more than la traffic lights :P
glad to be home.
finished watching a drama :who are you? [sad that katy called dibs on main guy. loved him. i called dibs on puppy eyes tho. :D]
started watching suju ehb. love the laughing gas epi. post scrn shots and my comments on it one day :D
have summer school monday. sad. wish i didn't have to go. found out that shinhwa is having a charity concert on my bday. so wanted to go. so want to go peace concert too, but not sure who's going anymore.
oh and found out that ryeowook is exactly, exactly three years younger than me :D yay for gemini cancers :D
also comment: yesung is like a younger yomi :D
and kangin likes to pants ppl a little too much.
