I have Olympic Fever!
I have done nothing during the past week but watch the Olympics. I’ve been taping most of it and then watching them a day later. I’m a little behind, I haven’t watched last night’s stuff yet but that’s on the docket for tonight. Oh, but I’m going to Dave Matthews Band concert tonight. That should be an awesome one!

Job
I’ve been to Denver and San Francisco since the end of July. Both trips went really, really well. They were both extremely tiring as well. The trip to San Francisco was my big educational program I was planning. We had a record number of attendees and there was never a dull moment. I had a speaker show up 5 hours late (after being stuff in Denver due to a tornado). When it came time to fly home on Friday (the 13th of all days), I was exhausted. So I boarded the plane at 5:30 for an hour and a half flight. Well, after taking off 30 minutes late and circling Las Vegas for 40 minutes, we had a very rocky landing in Phoenix at 9:30pm. Yes, I was on the plane for 4 hours! It sucked and I was starving the entire time. But my boss’ last day was this past Friday and I am officially the boss. It’s weird but I’m getting used to it.
House
Well, we’ve been delayed…again. Not only is there a shortage on concrete, but there is a shortage on lumber, framing crews and plumbing crews. I was told that the plumbing crew will work on our house in 3 weeks. They haven’t told me how long it will take to get my concrete and framing stuff but I have a feeling it isn’t going to be anytime soon. So while they say that we will get the house no later than January, I don’t believe them anymore.
Wedding
It’s only 40 days away!!! I can’t believe it. We’ve accomplished most everything. We’ve mailed the invitations and are getting some responses back already, which is one of the most exciting things. We ordered the stuff for our favors and will be putting those together in 2 weeks. I’ve got the final meetings with all of my vendors scheduled so I just have to attend those. We’ve still got to find a little table for the unity candle, the guys need to be measured and I’ve got to finish the schedule of events for the wedding party, but other than that, we’re pretty much done.
