(no subject)
So, this Saturday I'm off on a not-so-well-deserved Easter vacation, making stops at Cambridge, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paris, and London. :D Paris makes me slightly apprehensive, as I speak approximately zero French, but my friend has promised to guide me. I'll drift back to Swansea around the 2nd, to do some work and hang out with Dave, and then my parents are coming to visit. They've decided to rent a car (I think it's a bad idea, but this is really their vacation, and theirs is much more deserved than mine), and drive around Southern Wales and England for most of the week they're here. And we might drive up to see one of my flatmates, who lives in a small town called Hay-on-Wye (technically she lives in a tiny tiny village just outside the small town), which happens to be the second-hand book capital of the WORLD! YAYYYYYY!!!!!
So, yeah, things are going pretty well in my life. Tomorrow a trip to the home of Dylan Thomas (and his favorite pub!), Thursday a choir concert, and Saturday (if the stupid National Rail website lets me buy a ticket ever) I'm off to London, to meet up with Claire. I'm going to be flat broke by the time I get home, but I've come to terms with that fact.
well, so much for having anything exciting to say. I'm pissed I didn't get to celebrate pi day. I think I'm going to try to do that tonight, by ordering pizza. I hope all of you in Pittsburgh went to that random pizza place in Squirrel Hill -Pi or Pi's or something? - seeing as I can't. Everyone here think's I'm absolutely insane, but this from people who celebrate pancake day?
