poised on the brink of another week:

Drat - still haven't got a picture. Oh well, maybe later. I watched "The Hours" last night - it was very good. They changed some of the stuff from the book "The Hours," and of course they're both based on but really different from "Mrs. Dalloway," but it was neat to see all the overlaps between the three. Knowing what was going to happen I wasn't that shocked by the ending, though, and I didn't cry (which was weird, because I kind of wanted to). I did get the nice satisfied feeling one gets after having read a book but not really thought all the little details through, and then seeing it happen on a screen. It's so much easier to take in information that way. Also - yay for Allison Janey! Very good actress, and a performance that just generally reminded me of how wonderful she is.
Classes are chugging along. It's ridiculous that it's already April, and there are only four weeks of classes left. I really ought to think more seriously about the summer, and studying abroad. It's just so easy not to when I could be doing anything else. In petty news, no one wants to dye Easter eggs with me. Except maybe Max, who won't be here anyway. Lame. I see the point that hardboiled eggs aren't that appealing and what does one do with a dozen hardboiled eggs except eat them? But still.

What I currently miss from my childhood (other than dying Easter eggs): being read aloud to.
