Wednesday
You know... sometimes on the Internet I feel really old. lol Like someone (typically who is younger than I am), will say something and I sit here with that WTF are they talking about face on. :o) lol Yeah, and one of my facilitators tonight asked me how old I'd turned on my bday (she was the one who didn't show up to group last week... ergo her not knowing) and when I told her 26 she says, "I didn't know you were that..." And Kathy stepped in, "That old! hahaha Watch how you phrase that!" Yeah, she thought I was 23. :op
Anyway... group went splendidly tonight. Just two weeks more til we break again until September. And *whispers* I'm missing the last week of summer session... so just one more week for me. :o) Our project tonight was about feelings, as usual, and we read a book called "Glad Monster, Sad Monster" and then did a project where I showed them 5 faces I'd drawn on different colors of paper. (Red=Angry, Blue=Sad, Yellow=Happy, Orange=Silly and Green=Scared) then I gave them each a piece of cardstock that I'd printed their names coloring book-style on and they had to color in the letters of their names using the colors that represented the way that they feel. It was really cool cause they totally got into it. One girl who was apparently pissed off at her dad for not giving her a drink of milk when she wanted it colored her whole name red for angry. Hehehe... Then others had a mixture of all of the feelings, while others had more of one color and bits of the others. Frankly, it went exactly the way it was supposed to. *high-fives self* lol
After group I went to see Minority Report with mom. It was odd... Good, but odd. I can't put my finger on what it was I didn't like about it, but in all it was a pretty cool movie I suppose. And I got to see the preview for Dare Devil too again which is always cool. :o)
Then mom and I went for shakes at Steak n' Shake and now I'm home. I'm exhausted despite the fact that I reallllly want to write tonight. I just couldn't sleep last night/morning. I hate it when I'm so tired and all I want to do is sleep but I can't. It wasn't a caffeine high though, so I'm not sure what it was that kept me up. Oh, but I did finish American Gods. :o) More on that one in a seperate post. :o)
