What day IS it?
lol don't you hate when you lose track of the days? Yeah, me too... :op It's Thursday right? *thinks about it... nods* Yeah it is...
Okay so my mom and my cousin's little boy DeVante picked me up this afternoon after I'd slept most of the day away, and we went to a late lunch. Today's DeVante's 6th birthday so we spoiled him for the afternoon. :o) He wanted magnets for his fridge so he can hang up pictures that he draws so I let him take one of my CatDog magnets from my fridge... I also shared some of my SpongeBob stuff with him too. :o)
After lunch we went to the mall so I could spend some of my GC's... DeVante played in the children section of B&N with mom while I roamed around and got my books. *grins* I'm now the happy owner of Coraline and I Wish I Had A Red Dress (which is the sequel to a book I read earlier this summer and loved). I almost got the Quoteable Sandmanbook too but figured I'd wait on that one. :o) Oh, and I got a children's book called When Dinosaurs Die for Becky's daughter... it's a book I use with my kids in group a lot and it's fannnnntastic. Friggin B&N only has volumes 1 & 10 of Sandman *rolls eyes* so I couldn't fufill that need tonight, but tomorrow I might have to swing by Waldenbook's at the Meridian Mall. :o)
We also went to Claires where I got 9 pair of earrings *yeah, I needed earrings bad*, two silver rings, and a Kermit pen *giggle* Kermie!! Bought DeVante that bubble shit where you put the goo on the end of a straw and then blow the bubble and it's touchable *lol, nice description I know* at the Dollar Store, oh and Mom bought him a SpongeBob watch at Claires hehehe
From there we went out to see my other cousin's kid play his last baseball game of the season. :o) I ended up missing pretty much all of the game because I was doing the plastic bubble goo stuff with DeVante, Sarah, Taylor (cousin's kids) as well as a buttload of other kids... hehehe (Emily, Anders, Erica, and *thinks* uh... Erica's baby brother whose name I can't remember lol). It was fun though, and Sarah (who is 7 and a half, and her twin brother Jay was the one playing baseball) says "Everyone loves my family!" lol cause all of the kids were swarming around us and wanted to play with us. :op Oh, and Taylor (Sarah & Jay's almost 4 year old baby sister) got bit by a dog that belonged to another family. We weren't actually there when it happened, but apparently had shown up shortly after it happened. Poor kid... he nipped her face and she had two decent sized scratches on her face... good thing he missed her eye.
And my whine of the day... *chuckles... well at least one of them* is about Burger King. I went there tonight and went through the drive-thru *Ever wonder why we spell drive-thru like that? lol me too* First of all the wench who took my order wasn't listening to me... I had to repeat everything I said at least twice, and got really pissy with her by the time I was done *chuckles... well! She wasn't doing her JOB!* Then I go up to the first window to pay and get a icky scary dude hitting on me... what is it about scary icky guys hitting on me? *Groans loudly* He gave me my change and literally hung out of the window at me and gives me what I suppose was his Mack Daddy look and says, "You want anything else?" I'm all, "Uh no... thanks..." He says it again, "You want anything else? *insert bad "sexy" look* Cookies?" *groans* He was saying something else but I drove away... *chuckles* Eww eww eww! :o)
Anyway... decent day I suppose... Hot as fuck around here though. We got rain today which actually ended up in flooding some areas, but temperature-wise it just made everything hot and sticky.
Tomorrow we do the belated birthday outting starting with dinner at The Olive Garden *mmmm* and perhaps bowling afterward. :o)
