Why the hell is it so fucking hot?? *melts into a puddle of goo*
Group went well tonight... I had 8 kids and one of my facilitators did another no show *yes, the same one who no showed on our first night back from break... grrr* We worked on empathy tonight and talked about all sorts of hugs and what they're for etc... then we read a poem about hugs by Mattie Stepanek (sp?). The kids then got to make a "Bear Hug" to take home which is a paper cut-out of a bear that they got to decorate and glue foamie kisses to so they could give the hug to someone that they thought needed the hug. :o) They were squirrelly tonight and WAY wiggly, but good nevertheless...
Kathy, my co-leader, gave me like a friggin pound of chocolate LOL, a Powerpuff Girls card, as well as a bunch of SpongeBob stuff (coloring book, stickers, 2 door hangers with Bob and Patrick on them, and three plastic figurines) because during winter session the kids and I were telling her about SpongeBob and she'd never heard of him... Then one day her granddaughters were over to her house and she had to watch the cartoon with them and she came to group going, "Kellie, Kellie, Kellie... what the hell was that cartoon all about?" hehe
*thinks* I think that's about it really... I didn't get Double Exposure done by today like I'd wanted to... but Common Ground kind of put a damper on my writing last week. :o) It's getting there though... I've got a chapter sitting on disk waiting to be proofed, so I suppose I'll do that before I'm too tired... :o)
Oh! *chuckles* I have to say, that no matter how many times I get the same Backstreet greeting cards over and over again, I still love them and giggle like a dork when I get them. LOL :o) Paulla sent me one in the mail that I got today, and Kathy got me a blank one to have on my desk... hehehe *puts it on top of my hub*
