Well damn, it's been a whole month since I updated? Yowsa... my bad. :o) Today's updates:
~ Parts 138-142 of Double Exposure are now online.
~ Parts 17-18 of Shades of Gray are online.
And... (go me!) I've finally updated my baby sister's fic! :o) Thanks for being patient (especially to you Lou!).

Sometimes the love that you thought would last a lifetime leaves you in the blink of an eye. Losing it destroys a part of you that can never be replaced. It is like your heart is a piece of glass that gets broken, leaving a sharp edge that can cut anyone that gets too close, that tries to touch it. And it leaves you scared… scared that the delicate edge will break again, giving you more pain, more pieces to pick up.
Your life changes drastically. You cling to anything that you can hold onto, anything that might be stable in your life, that no one can take away from you or that you can protect. Career, school, friends… even cleaning, organization, writing… You choose to keep things in your life that you can control, that you make the decisions about. It is your protection from hurt and your escape.
The greatest fear of all is someone new coming into your life, especially a person that has the ability to turn your world upside down, a person that has the ability to make you feel things that you never thought you would feel again. Your instinct is to run, as far and as fast as you can. Your instinct is to get away before that person touches you too deeply, but there is a secret that many don’t realize… It’s already too late. By the time you realize that the person is touching you, you’re already trapped, and whether you’re prepared or not, you can’t run from the feeling. It only follows you wherever you go, haunting you, and you can’t let go.
What are you supposed to do then? Bury yourself even further? Try to hide from the world? Use that person, never letting yourself get too close to the fire? If you think you can do that you are only fooling yourself, because love has already found you. And that love slowly smoothes away the rough edges of your broken heart, just like the ocean, and you find that you need them… As much as it scares you, you need them… You need to be right next to them, sharing your every breath…
