That "party" was a complete bust. Not interesting at all, I can't even believe I wasted my time going. [And all the "interesting" stuff that did happen at the party seemed to happen to everyone other than him. What cruel irony.]
By the way. Conrad, how sad we didn't see you! I had somethin' to give you too. [Namely a right hook.] You avoiding us

[It was his turn to cheer his partner up. It has been one disappointing day after another and to be quite honest Cas had been behaving surprisingly well. Perhaps he'll bring an extra bottle, an italian red wine as a gift.]
[ooc: No problem. c: good luck with your exams!]

[ooc; thank you bb~ c:]

[He'll just be hanging up to go to the liquor store, taking his sweet time, making sure he made a good selection for both the expected bottle and the wine.]

[He hangs up and wanders off to tell his "wife" to stay the hell away from them for the night. Then he simply waits by for a knock at the door.]

You splurged, huh? Come in. [And he stands out of the way for Finas, shutting the door behind him.]

[And once he's inside he'll hand off the bottles to Cas so he can take off his jacket. First the cognac.] The something strong you requested and... [Handing him the wine.] Something for you, I thought you would enjoy that.
[Burden free he'll take his time shugging his jacket off, and loosening his scarf next.]

Perfect, good choice.
[And afterwards he took the wine as well, staring at it a little longer. Aw.]
Hey, thanks! Y'know I'm a sucker for red, I'll get some glasses. Feel like playing in the kitchen or the living room?

[How many years could that have been, he wondered. Ah well, that didn't matter. Smoothing down his dress shirt, shrugging a shoulder.]
Whichever you'd prefer, I'm not picky.

That must've been a long time ago, you've got a pretty good memory. All right, let's stick to the kitchen then.

So keeping his sights straight as he passed down the hall, turning into the kitchen.]
A good memory is a handy tool.
[Rolling up his sleeves as he takes a seat.]
I trust your wife won't be interrupting?

Don't worry about that. I got it taken care of.
[No, not like that, he actually did it the civil way. No getting droned for Cas tonight. He poured a glass for himself and some cognac for Finas (remembering vaguely he wasn't much of a wine drinker) and took a seat across from him.]
Since your wife's "broken" now too, that complicates things a little. Guess it doesn't really matter where we play now.

...Quite. She didn't approve of my coming here tonight, that it was late and I should get to bed. Really if she's going to nag as much I'm afraid I may have to go against my better judgement and do something to remedy the problem.
[Taking a sip of his drink, the warmth that spread down his throat and settled in his stomach was rather enjoyable.]
Do you want to deal? or should I.

[He took a drink as well, this actually being the first instance he'd tasted wine again since he was first a mortal. The smooth almost savory warmth hit him hard with nostalgia, and he couldn't help but grin.]
I'll deal this one.
[Setting his glass down, he picked up the deck and shuffled, distributing five each way and picking up his hand.]
Should we make this interesting?
Reply
Taking his cards, calmly looking them over.]
...What do you have in mind?

I dunno, some kind of bet maybe. Money, favors, somethin' like that.
[Although it was kind of an unspoken agreement that they had each others back when it came to both, it might make the game a little more interesting to raise the stakes.]
