snow day accomplishments
so far today I have:
Not too bad if I do say so myself, and it is only noon! Since a normal snow day would have been all tv and stitching before Emily, this was a productive one!
My school was closed until 11 and my class was 9:30-10:45, I already knew I was home all day, D had jury duty (canceled of course) and the trains stopped running, so he is home, and Em's school is closed. Tomorrow if my day off anyway, so this was a nice short week - just like last week. Even since school started I have only had to teach 3 days a week. I am beyond sick of this snow but loving my new 3 day work week :)
Then again, there is much to be said for a day of tv and stitching... maybe tomorrow since my house is now spotless :)
- moved the living room furniture to vacuum/dust under it (I love hardwood floors but wow that is a lot of dust!)
- laundry - extra hot sanitizing load
- vacuumed the 2 upstairs bathroom and our bedroom - including under the bed, nightstands and dresser, see #1, and Emily's carpeted room
- vacuumed the basement steps
- researched (with D) the process to get Emily a passport - we are taking a vacation soon!!!!!
- cleaned the playroom, including the table where Em occasionally dines
- arranged for a play date later this afternoon
- watched D shovel some of the driveway
