Check out the completely ludicrous misspelling of Benedict Cumberbatch's name (
here, third paragraph down) from a recent article in the Washington Post.
Mind you, I've had that very same misspelling in my
LJ interests since 2010, but my misspelling was intentional. :)

ETA Ahem: apparently the "typo" was
intentional - and I am (1) owning my hypocrisy in thinking this sort of thing is fine for fandom but not fine for the newspaper that broke the Watergate story, and (2) indignant - although in an amused way - at the notion, put forth by the author in her 'explanation' - that "Bandersnatch Cummerbund" was invented by one of her readers in March of 2012, when I've been using it for close to two years. Hmph. :)
