Such a difference in those two childhoods. The first one broke me a little, in a very good way. It makes so much sense, knowing what we do of Severus's childhood.

The second made me laugh. He's so good with those kids, living a birthday and helping them have a childhood unlike his.

And... detentions. LOL.

Honestly, showing how the kid from part one became the man in part two should really have taken 200 pages of text, but that's the beauty of fandom: so much can just be "understood."
