Smiling's my favorite!
I'm having a small Christmas party at my apartment tonight, and i'm hoping that by telling you, i will feel obligated (and remember) to take pictures and post them online. (Actually, picasa has made my picture-posting life so easy, that i think i will be much better about keeping more up-to-date with online photo posting. Aren't you lucky?)
I will clean and then make molasses-ginger cookies when i get home today. Really, i want to go to a special little shop called Swallow, just a couple blocks north of my apartment, to buy some Christmas treasures, but since they close at 7, it probably won't happen.
Perhaps i'll go tomorrow, after the kitties have a trip to the vet.
They are big kitties now, but Satchel still looks like a kitten to me a lot of the time. I hope this won't change. Even though he's giant-sized, he still tries to sit on our shoulders, and his most favorite game is fetch the straw. The stairs make this game better than ever, and he is quite obsessed with straw. Actually, there is about half a box worth of flexi-straws under various furniture in my apartment; i have reason to believe that most of this is concentrated under the fridge since we look under the other furniture from time to time and never come up with much.
I will not see Jay awake from Sunday afternoon to Thursday morning, when we leave Brooklyn to drive to Florida. We will sleep in the same bed for probably three hours in the middle of the nights and will communicate almost exclusively via email. If this was always his schedule, we would have a long-distance relationship while living in the same apartment.
