a few thoughts
I think it's much better for me that work coffee is always gross. Here, i get to drink green tea (or Earl Grey with Parmalat milk added) all day after I finish the coffee I bring from home, and it's all free. Still too much caffeine, i'm sure, but better in some ways.
I just got my first text message on my new phone, and i'm proud to report that the one-beep ring is the same reliable tone as on my old phone. Good old Sanyo. I hope this shiny new phone is as good as my last two Sanyos have been.
Tonight, I'm going to Patsy's, a famous Italian restaurant near Columbus Circle, with Jason and his uncle. I'm excited because I tend to avoid places where pasta entrees are mostly over $20, so going somewhere like that for free is delightful!
As you can see from all my excitement over free things, i am poor. I'm doing okay actually, but i'm getting paranoid and keep buying boots and coats, which i'm finding at bargain prices, but they're still expensive. Do you want to know what I've gotten so far?

I hope i stay toasty all winter, and i hope both pairs of boots fit because they haven't come in the mail yet. I also hope that i find amazing deals on winter sweaters so that i can stop being so poor sooner.
