...Well, as days go, I think I've had worse.

My wake-up call was being told that Kai Owen thinks I'm pretty. (Seriously, guys, the man snogs this woman for a living and thinks I'm pretty? Asdfghjkl; DOES NOT COMPUTE, but omg.)

Then Wales won the rugby. Shit, shit game, but we won and that's the point. Even if it was bloody boring.

Post-rugby, I went into town and unexpectedly managed to get hold of two £8 tickets for Calendar Girls. This has been sold out for months, and I've been going in every day this week (it ran Monday-Saturday) hoping for returns, with no luck. Except for the chance of two £26 tickets for Friday that I had to turn down, because, well, £26. So there was joy.

I had to go get cash out to pay for the tickets because they couldn't take my card, and when I did I finally worked up the courage to check my bank balance -- which I'd been convinced was not very healthy. Turns out? I have at least £150 more in there than I expected to have. *glee* London is going to be fun, folks. moofoot, expect a care package toute suite.

Saw Calendar Girls at the New Theatre with Gareth, and omg. SO, SO GOOD. It was funny and sad and wicked and bittersweet and utterly fantastic. Mam, who's also seen it, thought it was better than the movie, and she may not be wrong. Gaynor Faye was fantastic, but she wasn't the only one: the whole cast was great, and deserved the standing ovation they got at the end. Gareth, I'm pretty sure, was not expecting to enjoy it as much as he did, but it was so funny! Despite the dodgy view (column in the way, which was why the tickets were so cheap), it was worth every penny. And we got to meet Elaine C Smith - who was Mary in Rab C. Nesbitt - afterwards and got her autograph. She was lovely, and very funny in real life, as well as when she played my favourite character on stage. Need to rewatch the movie now, I think.

And then I headed back and got to the gorgeous noodle restaurant on City Road in time to get take-out sushi, meaning I don't have to eat McDonald's for lunch tomorrow! And also that I get a gorgeous sushi snack for tonight.

It's a hard life, folks, but someone's got to live it. :D

...Damn, this sushi smells good. *noms*

(Asdkflglhg;h; KAI omgwhut.)
