I love this. As a fan of old mysteries, you've got the lively banter and a brilliant set up. I'd like to read more.

I rather love this.

But, ahem. Some proper thoughts: There's a really strong and distinct voice here, which is always good, and the pacing's pretty good. The only thing I'd maybe say is that towards the end it's very high on dialogue and low on narration, but that's not necessarily a bad thing?
