I am working on essayish things and it occurs to me that Teaboy had a very good idea with this the other day. So... anyone want to play Mornington Crescent? If you're new to the game, I recommend its Wikipedia page and a careful perusing of Teaboy's entry on the subject, which should set you straight. For old hands: of course I wouldn't dream of suppressing any discussion of the rules, but please try not to go overboard.

I haven't been playing very long, but a friend introduced me to the Forty-Second Fry Variation and I'm very fond of it. (If it's new to you, then it's very similar to the famous Adamsian Principle, but Paddington counts double on a Tuesday and of course the Bakerloo line runs counter-clockwise with occasional stoppages for tea and Regent's Park. And remember to be very careful that you don't loop backwards into White City or you'll be in Nidd.)

I'm in a risk-taking mood today, so I think I'll gamble on opening with Embankment. Anyone care to join in?

bored now, i'm sorry i haven't a, mornington crescent, geek geek geek, essaying to essay
