There's a poster of her on my bedroom door in Cardiff. D: I genuinely thought she was awesome, so this makes me sad.

I really don't get it. Someone on ... I think it was The Times Online earlier, a WOMAN at that, was referring to the victim as a woman who hadn't exactly never been touched before and I had to close the window before I started to hurt things. SHE WAS THIRTEEN. And even if she weren't, having previously had consensual sex does not make THAT SEX any less consensual!

I'd understand better, maybe, if there was any question of his guilt, but the slimy cockweasel ADMITTED IT.

A lot of people are playing the 'BUT HIS FAMILY WAS MURDERED!' card like that somehow gives him immunity from the justice system or excuses his behavior.

Apparently it's the thirty years. And the nabbing by the SWISS, of all people.

I don't understand it. I had a law student in my journal who said 'to be fair, it's been thirty years' without bothering to look anything up. I mean, ex-gf, so she hasn't been high in my world view for a while, but now I'm REALLY unimpressed with her.

I don't understand it, Bethan, I don't. And it's heartbreaking, all these people I used to respect.
