And I, er, didn't cancel one card (I was planning on waiting til Wednesday, just in case the purse turned up, and then cancelling), so - assuming it's still in there, which it probably is if the university has it - I have ALL THE MONEY I NEED.
I can even pay my rent by transferring my landlady the money if that's the way she needs it done.
(And I had the excuse to buy myself a beautiful new purse made from red leather that's shaped like an old-fashioned record player. ER.)
*grins* I'm so glad it turned up. We lost my wallet once and never found it, so I know the ouch that goes along with lost money and canceling stuff. It's great you can pay your rent! <3
:D! The undergrad office won't be open for an hour or so, so I'll be here for a while yet.
To be honest, it wasn't the lost money that upset me - I'd been very careful never to have more than €15 in it at a time. But all my student cards and things, and an old high school dinner card, and my blood donor card...! (And a Doctor Who trading card my kid brother gave me as a gift ages back: he'd swapped two of his cards for one because he knew I like David Tennant. He must have been ten or eleven - he's twelve now - and he's not often sweet like that.)
*is betwirled!* *glitters you!* I CAN HAS MY PURSE BACK. :D :D :D
And I'll get back the stupid little Doctor Who card my brother traded two of his for to give it to me as a gift because it was David Tennant! Because very little actual cash would have been taken (€15-€20), that was actually one of the things I was saddest about: my bebe brother is not often sweet like that, and it was a good luck charm.
And it was an excuse to buy myself the cutest new red purse ever: it's soft red leather and shaped like an old-fashioned record player, with the clasp in the form of the needle-lever. >.>
